The track which appeared as the bonus track on CD1 of the 'I BELIEVE IN YOU' single started life out in 2003 as a funky demo for the 'Body Language' album.
Originally a tracklisting surfaced with the album being initially known as 'CITY GAMES' and including tracks such as 'Attention Seeker', 'City Games', 'Beat U' and 'BPM'.
When the album was re-compiled for release almost all of the tracks would be removed and never see the light of day.
The album title track 'CITY GAMES' later showed up as a b-side on the 'CHOCOLATE' single in 2004.
Many of the rumoured 'City Games' demos would just be much-talked about Kylie demos amongst fans.
When 'I BELIEVE IN YOU' was announced as the single the fans were eager to hear what formats it would be released on and which tracks/mixes would be included.
To their surprise the 'City Games/Body Language' demo 'BPM' showed up as a bonus track on the CD single!! Fans were extremely delighted.
However, for this release the track (also known as 'Beats Per Minute') was re-recorded. The music being edged more towards a dancey vibe to fit in with the Scissor Sister-penned single. The vocals were also re-recorded.
So the track we hear today is an adapted verison of the 'Body Language/City Games' demo which was funk-ridden originally.
The track was also known as 'Sunset River' by some fans, although this was never it's official title.
